From Walla Walla in Washington State this
wine is an even more exciting version of
Cellar Craft's most popular wine kit. It is made with twice the amount of Tuscan
Sangiovese and a 30% larger Crushed
Grape Pack of virgin crushed grapes containing
2/3 Cabernet and 1/3 Merlot blend
of grapes. Juice from the low yield block
in Walla Walla, heightens the aromatics
and creates more defined structure and
concentrated flavours. Walla Walla Merlot
skins add ripe plum notes and a sense of
roundness to the taste profile. The newly
added Cabernet skins intensify black current
notes, build body and add more pronounced
tannins. The extra Sangiovese
adds more bright and lively red fruit character
typical of Tuscan wines. This wine is
quite approachable after about 7 months,
but do plan to give the wine extended ageing
(up to 3 or even 4 years) so that you
experience all that the wine has to offer.
Open the wine early (decant if possible) to
let this big wine release its aromatics and
multiple layers of flavours. Serve with
your choicest red meats, game and other
rich or sauced dishes. |
